The Nigeria Police Force has begun activities ahead of the 2026 National Police Day. Officers of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Command engaged in environmental sanitation and community outreach in the FCT to mark the Police Day.

The exercise formed part of a week-long programme outlined by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, leading up to the main celebration scheduled for April 7th.

The FCT Commissioner of Police and officers from the command took part in clearing refuse and engaging with residents during the exercise, an effort he said, is aimed at strengthening relationships with communities and encouraging public participation in maintaining a cleaner environment.
