Tinubu's Birthday Celebration Vs Plateau Palm Sunday Massacre

The incident wasn't a good or supposed gift  to the President on a special day. However, it demonstrated the degree of governance decay.

Last Sunday was a climax of BLACK SUNDAY in Nigeria. While it was an occasion for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to celebrate his 74th birthday, the merchants of violence engaged in massacre of Christians on Palm Sunday in Angwan Rukuba Community, Jos North Local Government Area, Plateau State.

Curiously, the 48 hours curfew imposed by Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State was defied by residents who besieged the streets in protest.

Governor Mutfwang was compelled to take to the street on Monday to pacify residents who were on mass action. “You people should remain calm so I can speak here. The attack that happened last night is very terrible, I didn’t even sleep after hearing about it,” the Governor appealed.

On the other divide, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, was delighted in praising the President's leadership and tough decisions for the nation's benefit.

Meanwhile, Plateau is in turmoil.
