President Bola Tinubu joined other notable Nigerians and government officials from different parts of the country to celebrate democratic values and legacies of the pioneer interim National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Bisi Akande on the occasion of his 87th birthday.

President Tinubu who was represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation, in consonance with other dignitaries, eulogized the elder statesman for his dedication to good governance, accountability and nation building, throughout his service years and beyond.

The lecture delivered in honour of the celebrant interrogated critical challenges facing Nigeria and strategies for managing stakeholders concerns on the challenges in emerging cities, while the celebrant identified universal qualitative education as panacea to insecurity.

The event held in ila-Orangun, the hometown of the APC chieftain, had in attendance, Governor Rasak Abdulrahman of Kwara state who was represented by his deputy; former governors of Adamawa and Ogun states, Bonny Haruna and Gbenga Daniel; Chairman of the National Population Commission, among others.
