The presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, in the 2026 general elections, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, led the grand finale campaign of the party for the Saturday, August 15 governorship election in Osun State.

Atiku was in Osun in the company of ADC National Chairman, former President of the Senate, David Mark, Dino Melaye, and others.
Atiku expressed: "I have arrived in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, alongside a delegation of political associates, to stand with our governorship candidate, Dr Najeem Folasayo Salaam, Iwaloye, and our great party, the African Democratic Congress, ADC, at the grand finale of our campaign ahead of Saturday’s governorship election.

"We are here to rally support for our candidate and make a final appeal to the people of Osun State to entrust the ADC with the responsibility of delivering purposeful leadership, good governance and a better future for all." -AA
Atiku maintained: "It was wonderful to be back in Osun again. It is home. I was with my Osun people and asked them to vote for the ADC in the upcoming Governorship elections this Saturday, 15 August.

"They have never let me down. This time around, I rely on them to support Dr Najeem Folasayo, the ADC candidate for governor. -AA"
