Shehu Sani Blames Past Leaders For North's Woes

Senator Shehu Sani, on a courtesy visit to APC State Secretariat in Kaduna, blamed past northern leaders for the woes suffered in the North, essentially, poverty and insecurity. He said present leaders should focus on tackling poverty, underdevelopment, and illiteracy that contribute to violence in the region.

Sani encouraged Kaduna people to stay vocal on security issues without getting into partisan disputes. He said The future of the North depends on courage, honesty, and unity.

The former senator observed that Schools, worship centres, and communities in the North have been targeted by extremist groups. These groups, he said, operate across Nigeria's borders, creating a complex security issue without getting the necessary attention by those who seek political relevance in the opposition political party.

Sani praised Kaduna Governor, Uba Sani, for improving security and reducing tension in areas like Birnin Gwari. He also acknowledged progress under the current federal administration on national security.

Shehu Sani called on northern leaders to work together to tackle these issues, build a better future for the region, and ensure that both President Bola Tinubu and Senator Uba Sani are returned to office as President and governor.
