Reps. Expands Investigation Into

The House of Representatives has expanded investigations into allegations of a fake Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council, headed by Director-General, Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claimed he was offered appointment purportedly by the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.

While the ICPC is already investigating the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council and controversial, D.G., Adeniyi, on the order of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but currently in custody, the House of Representatives commenced investigations into the budgetary allocation to the agency, declared non-existence by the presidency.

At the sitting of the House of Reps Committee, the Chairman, Gagdi, said the committee needs Adeyemi to make physical appearance to clarify certain documents, in evidence.

The committee, therefore, directed that the Inspector-General of Police must present Adeyemi on Wednesday at 12 noon; and directed the Clerk of the House to formally communicate the resolution to the Inspector-General of Police.
