Presidency 2027: Omo-Agege Celebrates Obi's Ratification As NDC Candidate
Former Deputy President of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege, has celebrated the ratification of Peter Obi as the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, for the 2027 general elections.
The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, held its special convention in Idu environ, a satellite town, in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
Senator Victor Umeh moved the motion for the adoption of Obi as NDC consensus candidate. The motion was seconded by Ovie Omo-Agege; and adopted by the party stakeholders.
Omo-Agege declared that the entire process, including his emergence as NDC senatorial candidate in Delta Central Senatorial District, is "Victory for democracy;" asserting that "The people have decided and it is loud and clear."
Omo-Agege, thanking the people of Delta Central, reminded that the next phase is the general elections.
He declared: "and I’m confident that together, we will take back Delta Central Senatorial District.
"We are OK."
