Factional ADC Unveils Chris Uba, Presidential Candidate, uploads Candidates On INEC Portal
A faction of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, said it has uploaded the names of its presidential and National Assembly candidates for the 2027 general elections into the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, nomination portal.
The factional National Chairman, Nafiu Bala Gombe, in a statement, indicated that the submission was completed in line with Section 29(1) of the Electoral Act 2022 and INEC guidelines.
The party also unveiled Dr. Shamsuddeen Modibbo Barkindo as its vice-presidential candidate for the 2027 presidential election.
According to the ADC, Prof. Chris Uba will fly its presidential flag, while Barkindo will serve as his running mate.
The party said the nomination of Barkindo reflects its commitment to presenting credible and competent leaders capable of addressing Nigeria’s challenges and delivering good governance.
The ADC added that the candidates’ nomination forms were endorsed by its National Chairman and National Secretary, with all required documents submitted in line with INEC’s nomination process ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Meanwhile, ADC had already uploaded the nomination of Atiku Abubakar, as presidential candidate, as well as Rotimi Amaechi, as vice presidential candidate.
