Former Governor Segun Osoba of Ogun State, and the incumbent Governor Dapo Abiodun, have presented Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi, to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the Consensus governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2027 elections in Ogun State.

The APC caucus, at a meeting in Abeokuta, unanimously endorsed Yayi as consensus candidate of the party in the 2027 election,

The presentation of the Yayi candidacy completed the process of endorsement, and set the ball rolling for electioneering campaign.

Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, Yayi, currently represents Lagos Central in the National Assembly.
