Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar at the African Democratic Congress, ADC, National Convention in Abuja, blasted the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, over perceived undermining of democracy in Nigeria.

Atiku scolded INEC for purportedly being used to "scuttle democracy", saying the Commission is disregarding the tenets of democracy.

The former Vice President berated INEC for refusing to observe the ADC National Convention. He questioned noticeable inconsistencies in previous election results.

Atiku cautioned the Federal Government that pro-democracy forces fought the military to restore democracy in the country, adding that they prepared to take on the government to achieve same purpose again.
