Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has launched a ₦150 million endowment fund for engineering students of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.

The Endowment Fund aims to encourage current and future students to engage in research, technology, and innovation in engineering.

The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to policies and partnerships that strengthen education, support innovation, and encourage private-sector participation for development.

The Vice Chancellor of the OAU, Professor Simeon Banire, said the family of Michael Ponnle initiated the programme with a ₦1 million prize for the best student and ₦10 million for the Department in the previous session. He urged other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture to advance education.
