The Inspector General of Police, Tunji Disu, has called for security alert, warning that a lot of crime have been committed in the country by people who drive vehicles with covered number plate.

He declared that nobody have the right to cover their number plater.
The IG said he has directed officers to arrest anybody driving a vehicle without number plate or covered number plate.

The IGP said that no one is exempted from the enforcement, including police officers, saying that some officers reported to the Force have been disciplined.
