Shehu Sani Calls On Youth To Aspire For Political Office
A renown human rights advocate, Senator Shehu Sani, has called on Nigerian youth to abandon the habit of commenting on people in power and who have been in power, and aspire for political offices.
Sani alerted the youths that political parties are conducting their congresses across the country, and soon, the primaries will be held.
He enlightened the youths that they are in a brief stage of life, noting that all those in power today were their age peers in 1999.
Sani cautioned that it is either the youths step forward to lead or they will be led forever.
Sani advocated: "The Parties are having their congresses and soon the primaries will be here.
"Dear Young people, don't waste your youthful age under the comment section of people in power or who have been in power.
"Aspire for political office. Join the political party of your choice at your ward level. I’m sure now there is one strand of grey hair on your head; it'll soon multiply.
"Being a youth is a brief phase in life. All those you see in power today were your age peers in 1999.It’s either you step forward to lead or you’ll be led.
"If at your age you don’t know the ward office of your own political party, you have more decades of wailing ahead".
