Police Smash Kidnap Syndicate, Recover AK-47 Rifle In Delta
The police, in swift operation, smashed a kidnap ring terrorizing travellers along the Ughelli/Isoko expressway, Delta State.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, in a statement In Asaba, indicated that three members of the kidnap gang who were earlier arrested, led the team to a bush along Iyede axis where a Magazine loaded with 25 rounds of live ammunition and one AK-47 Rifle was recovered.
The kidnap syndicates were said to have been identified by one of their kidnapped female victims, who was abducted in February 3rd and was released after the payment of two million naira as ransom.
The Delta State Police Commissioner, CP Aina Adesola, commending the Officers for their professionalism in the operation, urged residents to continue providing credible and timely information, saying community partnership remains a critical pillar in the collective fight against crime.
