FG Tightens Security At FCT Praying Ground
The Federal Government, on Friday, tightened security at the praying ground in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, as Muslims trooped out and converged to observed the Eid Prayers, marking the end of Ramadan with gratitude to Almighty Allah.
Security was, accordingly, beefed up within and around various praying grounds in the Federal Capital Territory to ensure the safety of Muslim faithful who had converged for the holy month prayer.
Worshipers expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to be part of the holy month and to witness the conclusion with its attendant blessings
At the end of the Eid Prayer, the Chief Imam of Al- Habibiyyah Islamic Society, Fuad Adeyemi, in a media interaction, called for Unity of Purpose among Nigerians, irrespective of their religious and ethnic affiliations. He stressed that this is the only forward for peace and development in the country.
On insecurity in the Northeast, Adeyemi said Government should know and understand that their primary responsibility is the security of live and property of Nigerians, as well as, their welfare.
