A Dangote Sinotruk truck crashed into a Toyota Hiace bus carrying 18 passengers at Sapade Bridge, along the Ibadan–Lagos Expressway, 10 persons died in the fatal accident

The Public Relations Officer of the FRSC, Ogun State Command, Superintendent Route Commander Afolabi Odunsi, confirmed that 10 persons died, six sustained injuries, while two escaped unhurt in the acciden.

He attributed the crash to speed violation, wrongful overtaking and dangerous driving, alleging that the truck driver reversed on the highway after missing his route before the speeding bus rammed into it.

The injured were taken to Victory Hospital, Ogere, while the deceased were deposited at FOS Mortuary, Ipara. 

The FRSC appealed to motorists to obey traffic regulations and avoid dangerous driving.
