Navy Disrupt Crude Oil Theft, Deactivate Illegal Storage Facility, Discover 93,000 Litres Of Crude Oil Hidden in Pit in Rivers
The Nigerian Navy has sustained efforts to disrupt crude oil theft and illegal bunkering activities under Operation Delta Sentinel, with the discovery and deactivation of suspected crude oil storage infrastructure at Allison community, Bonny Local Government Area, Rivers State.
The operation which was conducted by personnel of the Forward Operating Base in Bonny, led to the recovery of over 93,000 liters of substances suspected to be crude oil in dug out pits.
According to the Navy, a substantial quantity of hose associated with the movement and transfer of crude oil was also discovered within the area.
