Vigilante Service Capture 8  Bandits In Kaduna

The Kaduna State Vigilance Service, KADVS, in a midnight surveillance operation, captured 8 armed bandits in Kubau Local Government Area, Kaduna State.The Vigilante recovered during a locally-made firearm, cash, mobile phones, charms, and other items from the bandits.

The operation, was led by the Kubau Sector Coordinator, Abubakar Shuaibu, at about 2:12a.m. on Tuesday, June 30, following intelligence that prompted security operatives to lay an ambush along the Ikara–Zuntu route.

The Ikara-Zuntu road has been identified as a major corridor frequently used by bandits and kidnappers, particularly, on market days.

The Vigilante intercepted a Volkswagen Golf 3, with registration number PHC 146 XA, conveying the partners-in-crime. They recovered one locally made gun, ₦350,750 in cash, six mobile phones, charms, iron rods, and other exhibits.

The seven bandits were identified as Bello Tarmo, Umar Alhassan, Shedi Tukur - driver of the car; Iliya Ibrahim, and Saleh Haruna.

They were identified to be indigenes of Ikara, Zuntu, Kargi, and Anchau communities.
