Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North in the 10th National Assembly, at the defection rally at Garrick Memorial Ground, Benin City, berated members of the opposition political parties in the state for castigating the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo.

Senator Oshiomhole, former Edo State Governor, joined the governor and APC loyalists, in receiving members of the African Democratic Congress, ADC; Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; and the Labour Party, LP, into the All Progressives Congress in Edo State.

Addressing the carnival-like rally with hundreds of defectors at at Garrick Memorial Ground, Benin City, Oshiomhole said the move by the decamped members of the opposition is an affirmation of the trust reposed in the Okpebholo administration.

Governor Okpebholo and the State APC Chairman played down the importance of the ADC in Edo and the Nigerian politics.
