Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State, in conjunction with Senator Adams Oshiomhole, representing Edo North in the National Assembly, received hundreds of defectors from the opposition African Democratic Congress, ADC; Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; and the Labour Party into the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State.

The event was held at the Garrick Memorial Ground in Ekenwan, Benin City.

The APC State Chairman, Jarrett Tenebe, described the defection as an affirmation of the giant strides of the governor and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
