Makinde, PDP Leaders Assure Of Democracy Solidarity With ADC
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, leading embers of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on a solidarity visit to the national leadership of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, assured of democracy solidarity with the leading opposition party.
The PDP delegation had a closed-door meeting with the ADC leaders in Abuja.
The delegation, in aliance with the PDP leadership under Kabiru Turaki, met with ADC leaders amid ongoing developments and heightened activity within the political space, including recent protests.
In a media interaction, after the meeting, Governor Makinde said the visit was to demonstrate support for the ADC leadership and to engage on issues affecting Nigeria’s democratic process.
He noted that the evolving political situation necessitated the engagement, emphasizing the need for unity and collaboration among political stakeholders.
Governor Makinde reaffirmed the group’s commitment to promoting a clean, credible, and stable democratic system in the country.
