The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has extended the Continuous Voter Registration to two weeks.

INEC commenced the CVR on 18th August, 2025, initially to end on 10th July 2026, but the Commission extended the deadline to 24th of July.

The Commission noted that eligible voters had requested the extension for the registration of more eligible voters.

Meanwhile, INEC presence have not been felt in several states, many are not aware where the CVR centers are located.

In several states, there are crises of technological failures, network outage, frustrating the CVR in the those states.
