NDC Closes Sale Of Forms For President, Extends Deadline For Legislature, Govs To May 24
The Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has closed collection of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for Presidential aspirants in the buildup to the 2027 general elections.
The Party, however, extended the deadline for the collection of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for legislative and governorship aspirants.
NDC National Secretary, Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, in a statement on Monday, announced that the deadline, initially fixed for 6:00p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, has been extended to midnight on Sunday, May 24, 2026. According to him, "the extension applies to aspirants contesting for State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate and Governorship positions."
According to the National Secretary, “The deadline for the collection of Expression of Interest Forms for the State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, and Governorship positions… has been extended to 12:00 midnight on Sunday, 24th May, 2026.”
