Yiaga Africa has demanded INEC, security operatives and anti‑corruption bodies to identify, arrest and prosecute anyone caught buying votes on Election Day.

Team Lead of Yiaga’s 2026 Ekiti Election Observation Mission, Dr. Aisha Abdullahi, at a pre‑election news briefing in Ado‑Ekiti, warned that the Ekiti election, holding seven months before the 2027 general elections, and two months before the Osun off‑cycle election, will test INEC’s operational readiness.

She also called on security forces to maintain intelligence deployments, strict neutrality and professionalism to protect voters, observers, journalists and electoral staff.
