Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar paid a courtesy visit to former Governor Rabi'u Musa Kwanwkaso after his defection to the African Democratic Congress, APC.

Atiku arrived the residence of the former Kano State Governor with top political figures to personally welcome Kwankwaso into the ADC. Atiku was accompanied on the visit by Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Dino Melaye, Kashim Imam, and Adamu Maina Waziri.

Kwankwaso defection to the ADC significantly altered the power equation of the political parties in the buildup m to the 2027 general elections. The defection increased the political asset of the ADC.
