New Police Commissioner, Nwadiogbu, Resumes In Benue
The new Commissioner of Police deployed to Benue State, CP Cletus Nwadiogbu, has resumed at the Benue State Police Command. He promised to work professionally and strengthen collaboration with stakeholders and members of the public for better service delivery and public safety.
CP Cletus Nwadiogbu, officially assumed duty on the 4th of June, 2026 as the 44th Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command.
CP Nwadiogbu, an indigene of Anambra East Local Government Area, Anambra State, has rendered over 30 years of dedicated, professional and meritorious service to the nation. He holds a doctorate degree in International Relations from University of Uyo, and held several appointments in the Police Force before his new posting.
The Commissioner of Police assured the people of Benue State of his unwavering commitment to intelligence-led policing, proactive crime prevention, emphasized that the Command under his leadership will remain focused on combating all forms of crime and criminality.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the State Command, DSP Edet Udeme, in a statement, indicated that the Commissioner of Police called on Benue residents to continue supporting the Police with timely and credible information to enhance public safety and effective policing across the state.
