The Police have arrested 10 suspects in connection with the killing of Chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, in Benue State, Alhaji Ardo Risku Mohammed, and one Yakubu Isa,

The Commissioner of Police, Benue State Command, Makurdi, CP Cletus Nwadiaogbu, disclosed that the suspects were arrested on the night of 27th June, 2026, during a coordinated operation by tactical teams in Otukpo area of the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Benue State Command, Edet Udeme, in a sttment identified the suspects to include:

1. Titus Thyodenda, 25 years
2. Utibe Sam, 20 years
3. Owoicho Ameh, 18 years
4. Sunday Useni, 21 years
5. Sunday Ogbanje, 46 years
6. Daniel Raphael, 23 years
7. Adokole John, 24 years
8. Samuel Ogazi, 32 years
9. Agbo Daniel, 25 years
10. Onazi James, 30yrs.

CP Nwadiogbu commended the tactical teams and investigators for their swift response and professionalism in making the arrests. The CP assured members of the public that efforts are being intensified to identify and apprehend other persons connected with the criminal act.

The Commissioner of Police further appealed to residents to provide useful information that may assist in the investigation.
