Southern Kaduna APC Unity Forum Supports Investigation Of El-Rufai
The Southern Kaduna All Progressives Congress, APC, Unity Forum has distanced the region from a recent rally in Kafanchan purportedly organised by a group claiming to represent Southern Kaduna youths and women in support of former Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The group, specifically, named Darius Kurah and his associates, who reportedly held the rally on February 25, 2026, accusing them of falsely claiming to speak for Southern Kaduna youths and women.
Convener of the Forum, Edward Pama, maintained that the majority of people in Southern Kaduna support the ongoing investigations by anti-graft and security agencies into the affairs of the former governor.
The group referenced the deposition and incarceration of several people from the region, including the late paramount ruler of the Kurama Chiefdom, Dr. Ishaku Damina, arguing that it is, therefore, ironic to now label the former governor’s investigation as political persecution.
Members of the Forum displayed placards, with different inscriptions, supporting the investigation of former Governor Nasir El-Rufai. They urged the security agencies to thoroughly examine past and recent statements attributed to El-Rufai. The Forum said accountability is essential for strengthening democracy and deterring divisive politics.
The Southern Kaduna APC Unity Forum reaffirmed its allegiance to the All Progressives Congress, APC, and pledged to mobilise an unprecedented 1.5 million votes for President Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in the 2027 general elections.
