Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, at the All Progressives Congress, APC, primaries, emerged the governorship candidate of the party for the 2027 general election, securing 459,393 affirmation votes.

Governor Sani, who contested as the sole aspirant, recorded a landslide affirmation victory following endorsement by party stakeholders across the state.

The primary election was monitored by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

Announcing the result, Chairman of the Kaduna APC Governorship and House of Assembly Primary Election Committee, Hon. Hafiz Kawu, described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and a strong demonstration of unity and confidence in Governor Uba Sani’s leadership ahead of the 2027 general election.

Governor Sani assured residents that his administration would consolidate on the gains already recorded and sustain efforts towards building a more secure, prosperous and united Kaduna State ahead of 2027.
