Police Raid Criminal Hideouts In Enugu
The police raided criminal hideouts along the Holy Ghost Rail Line, Enugu, arresting 4 suspects in the operations.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Enugu State Command, Daniel Ndukwe, in a statement, indicated that police operatives attached to the Central Police Station, in collaboration with Neighbourhood watch, conducted the raid which led to the arrest of the notorious gang of four who specializes in snatching of bags and other valuables of unsuspected members of the public.
The Police recovered 4 mobile phones and wraps of items, suspected to be Indian hemp, from the suspects. The Police said they have confessed to snatching the phones from passersby during evening hours.
The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, Mamman Giwa, commending the officers, reiterated the command's commitment to sustaining proactive operations aimed at ridding the state of criminal elements.
