Police Crack Down On Cultists, Arrest 3 In Delta

The Police, in a swift response operations, cracked down on cultists and arrested three Suspects in Delta State.

Apparently, Operatives of the Delta Police Commissioner Quick Response Squad, led by SP Archem Collins, arrested three suspected notorious cultists, believed to be members of the Black Axe confraternity, in Warri and the environs.


The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Delta State Command, Bright Edafe, in a statement, indicated that the operatives raided a building located at Okwagbe Street, Warri, where an unlawful gathering was taking place.


The suspects were said to have fled the scene on sighting the police in an attempt to evade arrest, while three of the suspects, namely, Nelson Mudiaga, Efe Nyore and Ebube Ifeanyi were arrested.


The suspects, according to the police, confessed to the crime, while items recovered from them include, one pump action gun, one Cut-to-size locally made short and long gun, as well as 17 live cartridges and four expended cartridges.

The Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Aina Adesola, assured the public that the safety and security of law abiding citizens remain the Command's top priority.
