Police Arrest Notorious Gunrunners, Recover Rifles

The kaduna state police command has arrested two notorious Gunrunners, recovered four locally made riffles, four locally mad pistols and four motorcycles This was disclosed in a statement signed by the commands public relations officer mansur Hassan on Friday.
He added that on the 5th of August, 2025, at about 1400hrs, following credible intelligence reports about the activities of suspected gun runners, operatives of the Command From Ikara Division stormed Kurmin Kogi village Area and successfully arrested two suspects namely Isah Bello and Sa’idu Haruna, both residents of Damdami village, Richifa Ward, Soba LGA.
The suspects further led detectives to their hideout located in a bushy area where four (4) locally made guns and four (4) locally made pistols were recovered. During the course of the operation, one of the suspects, Isah Bello, attempted to evade arrest and in the process assaulted an Inspector of Police, causing injury to the officer’s face. The injured officer is currently receiving medical attention and is responding to treatment.
In the same vein, on 7th August 2025, acting on credible intelligence regarding the activities of a a gang known for snatching motorcycles and selling them in a local markets, Police detectives from Dan Magaji division apprehended one Shamsudeen Haruna, 36 years old, of Galadimawa, Giwa Local Government Area.
