Pickpockets On Prowl In Lagos

Pickpockets are now on the prowl in Lagos, snatching phones, wallets, and valuables from bus stops to markets.

Lagos, the topmost bustling commercial hub of Nigeria is rapidly descending into criminal haven, even in broad day light.

Residents and workers walk on major streets in fear, holding their phones in their hands, rather than putting them in their pockets.

Victims are often stranded and helpless having lost their money or other valuables. Many innocent people have lost their valuables, which include huge amount of money to the hoodlums who operate openly in the day time without any check from security operatives, who are always around.

Most times the hoodlums are caught, the police are invited, but they mostly refuse to arrest them; they will rather just look away. This has continued to embolden the criminals.

People are walking with palpable fears on the streets of Lagos, from Ikeja, the state capital, to Idumota, the ever busy market in the city.
