Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has inaugurated Alhaji Aderemi Jimoh modern shops and motor park at Bodija Market in Ibadan North Local Government.

The project, named after the Babaloja of Bodija Market, is part of the government's efforts to improve the economy and reduce street trading.

The 540-stall facility, equipped with modern amenities, will be distributed free to eligible traders.

Governor Makinde announced that a second phase of the project, which will be larger than the current one, will soon be started.

Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government Area, Seun Olufade, who facilitated the project, described it as a testament to visionary leadership and unity.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Babaloja-General Oyo State, Yekini Abass, praised the government for its efforts to eradicate street trading and prevent accident.
