The Federal Capital Territory Police Commissioner, Miller Dantawaye, has appealed to Residents to support the police with timely and relevant information to help curb insecurity during the festive season.

Speaking with journalists in Abuja, Dantawaye says that the command has reactivated Operation Sweep, a Joint Task Force, which is already yielding results in tackling one-chance activities, car theft, and other crimes, adding that sustained efforts are underway to eliminate these threats across the FCT.

He also urged residents to be cautious with electrical appliances to prevent fire outbreaks during the dry season, assuring them that the police remain on standby to collaborate with the fire service in responding to emergencies.
