The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has dismissed reports circulating on social media claiming an attempted assassination on Lt. Ahmed Yerima.

According to a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, the Command clarified that no such incident was reported or recorded anywhere within the Federal Capital Territory.

It urged the public to disregard the false claim and avoid spreading unverified information capable of causing panic.

The Command further advised residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police division.
