CDS, COAS Encourage Troops On Intensified Offensive Against Terrorists
The Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, General Olufemi Oluyede, and the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, visiting Maiduguri, Borno State, encouraged troops to intensify offensive against terrorists in North East Nigeria.
The military brass were in Maiduguri for inspection of the Headquarters Theatre Command Joint Task Force, Operation HADIN KAI, after the suicide bomb blasts in Maiduguri.
General Oluyede, at the Maimalari Cantonment, expressed satisfaction with the troops for their resilience and sustained onslaught of the terrorists in the North East.
The CDS urged the soldiers to remain fully committed and resolute in their duties, strengthen intelligence architecture, and adopt innovative and proactive strategies to dominate the battle space.
Oloyede promised continuous strategic support from the Defence Headquarters.
The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shuaibu, acknowledged the unwavering dedication, consistent pressure on the adversary by the troops, urging the field commanders to sustain ongoing offensive operations, sustain firm “never again” philosophy against the terrorists in operational space.
