Benue Gov Continues Search For Viable Education Reform
The Benue State Government has continued the search for viable education reform. Governor Hyacinth Alia, at the Benue State Education Summit in Makurdi, assured that the state government will continue to prioritize quality education of its citizens through sustained policy and reforms, particularly, at both the primary and secondary school education, to build standards and raise future leaders.
The governor added that his administration would align with National Education Targets, coupled with sustained funding to improve infrastructure and schools security.
The Governor vowed to remain committed to uplifting education standards through reforms for sustainable development and ensure no Benue child of school age is out of school.
Launching the Project BRACE-UP, an initiative designed to identify out-of-school children and return them to classrooms, to enforce the free and compulsory basic education policy, Governor Alia called on parents, traditional and religious leaders, and other stakeholders to assist its government in achieving this effort.
