Angry youths in Benin City, Edo State, embarked on mass protest of increasing hardship in the country.

The protesting youths besieged and blocked the major highway, the Benin-Lagos Highway, on the University of Benin axis, towards Ugbowo.

The protesters obstructed traffic on the highway, halting vehicular movement on the corridor.

The protesters were agitating the high cost of living, hunger, sinking economy; displaying placards and chanting "Tinubu Must Go; We Don Tire".

There deployment of police personnel to the scene.
