IGP Leads Memorial Parade In Honour Of 17 Yobe Fallen Heroes
The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Disu, at the Force Headquarters, Abuja, led a memorial parade in honour of 17 Police Mobile Force officers killed in a terrorist attack in Yobe State.
The IGP paid tribute to the officers, who died while defending the Nigerian Army Special Forces School in Buni Yadi, Gujba Local Government Area.
Disu described the slain officers as brave personnel who paid the supreme price in active service to the nation. He noted that security operatives continue to risk their lives daily in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism in the North-East.
The Police boss appealed to Nigerians to continue to support security agencies with useful information, stressing that officers on the streets are working to protect lives and property.
Disu also condoled with families of the deceased officers and assured them of continued support from the Nigeria Police Force.
