Deputy Commissioner of Police Khan Salihu Dies In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command announced on Monday the sudden death of Deputy Commissioner of Police, in charge of Finance and Administration, DCP Khan Salihu.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the State Command, PPRO, SP Ambimbola Adebisi, in a statement indicated that DCP Khan Salihu died on Monday, 15th June 2026.

According to the PPRO, the demised Khan Salihu was a “highly dedicated, disciplined, and committed senior police officer who served the Nigeria Police Force with exceptional professionalism, loyalty, and integrity”.

The PPRO highlighted: “throughout his distinguished career, DCP Khan Salihu exemplified diligence, exemplary leadership, and an unwavering commitment to duty.

“His wealth of experience, administrative acumen, and invaluable contributions greatly enhanced the effective management and operational efficiency of the Lagos State Police Command.

“The news of his demise came as a profound shock and a painful loss to the officers and men of the Command.

“The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Tijani Olaiwola Fatai on behalf of the entire officers and men of the Command, extends heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones of the deceased during this difficult time”.
