The Federal University of Petroleum Resources has declared a student wanted for stabbing his blood brother to death over a Flip-flop, commonly known as Slippers.

The student, who resides at the hostel C together with his late brother, had engaged in a heated argument with his brother over the usage of the Flip-flop, before the argument resulted into the brother rushing to get a knife and stabbed him on the chest.

The deceased died as a result of excessive bleeding, while fellow students tried to rush him to the hospital. He passed on before arriving the hospital. The killer brother scaled the hostel fence and escaped.

When contacted, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Ezekiel Agbalagba, said the institution has declared the boy wanted for stabbing his own brother to death, while the matter has since been reported at the Ebrumede Police Station.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Delta State Command, Asaba, Edafe Bright, confirmed the killing, promising to issue a statement on the incident after thorough investigation.
