A tiny country of 600,000 population has lifted the African continent high at the global football stage. Cape Verde remains unbeaten in the beginning two games of their first appearance in the FIFA World Cup. The country held Spain to a stalemate, in the first game, and drew 2-2 with Uruguay in the second game, to maintain unbeaten record ion the first World Cup outing.

Cape Verde will be playing Saudi Arabia in third game; a win may see the country through to the Round of 32.
