IGP Appoints New Police Commissioner in Delta
The Inspector General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu, has redeployed the Commissioner of Police in Delta State, CP Yemi Oyeniyi, after 5 months of posting to the state, and appointed CP Samuel Erale the new Police Commissioner in the state.
Oyeniyi, the 24th Commissioner of Police in Delta State, has been redeployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
CP Samuel Erale is currently deployed to Osun State as the Police Commissioner for the Saturday, August 15 governorship election.
CP Yemi Oyeniyi, confirmed his redeployment to Our Correspondent on Friday morning, remarking that his deployment is not new in the Nigeria Police Force. He admitted that the Inspector General of Police has the power to reshuffle the system anytime he deemed it necessary.
Oyeniyi stated that he is leaving Delta State with his shoulder high in crime fighting, saying the crime level has been reduced to the barest minimum.
