The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has continued to battle for survival after variance of conflicts and threats of implosion.

PDP National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, disclosed that the National Working Committee, NWC, and Board of Trustees, BoT, have ratified key decisions aimed at ensuring the survival and stability of the party.

Ememobong, in a media interaction, said that the PDP leadership has agreed to seek clarity from the Supreme Court of Nigeria, alongside steps to secure the party’s electoral compliance.

He said the decisions were unanimously endorsed, reflecting a collective commitment by party organs to safeguard its future.

On reconciliation efforts, Ememobong explained that ongoing legal processes will not hinder dialogue among aggrieved members, stressing that progress is already being made.

He described the current atmosphere within the party as one of “de-escalation,” adding that while full reconciliation is still in progress, the reduction in tensions signals a positive trajectory.

Ememobong further said that negotiations require time, patience, and good faith from all parties involved, expressing optimism that the process will ultimately lead to lasting peace within the party.
