Ekiti 2026: INEC Fixes JUNE 2 For Collection Of PVCs, Arranges To Deploy Modern Technology For PWDs' Inclusion

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, at town hall meeting, said it will deploy modern technology and special arrangements to ensure Persons With Disabilities and other vulnerable voters are not disenfranchised in the June 20, 2026, Ekiti governorship election.

INEC Resident Commissioner Dr. Bunmi Omoseyindemi, at the Citizens’ town hall on the Ekiti Off-Cycle Governorship Election in Ado-Ekiti, confirmed PVC collection and distribution will run at registration areas from June 2nd to 11th, then, at local government centres from June 9th to 11th.

Omosehindemi added that INEC had also made special arrangements for vulnerable voters, including pregnant women and persons with disabilities, on election day. However, he urged Nigerians to show empathy and humanity towards vulnerable groups during elections.

Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade, said that more than 10,000 officers will be deployed across polling units to provide security.
