It was a disastrous boat mishap in Jigawa State. A boat conveying farmers across a river to access their farmlands capsized, 39 farmers declared missing and 1 dead.

Search and rescue team has been deployed to the scene, local divers have commenced search for the missing passengers in the depth of the river. One body was found dead in the search operation.
The missing 39 persons have minimal chance of survival.
