The African Democratic Congress, ADC, has commenced screening of presidential aspirants in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, in the buildup to the 2027 general elections.

First to appear before the screening committee was the Borno State-born politician and technocrat, Mohammed Hayatudeen, who arrived the venue at about 11.00am on Wednesday.

Hayatudeen, who left the screening room at exactly 12.00 noon told anxious journalists that the process was smooth.

He said he has concluded plans to run for the most exalted position in the country.
When asked if he will accept the much touted consensus candidacy in the party, especially, if he’s not the one chosen, the political said “it is the decision of the party” and until then, everything is alright.

The contestant also promised to bring his wealth of experience to bear in the development of the country, if he emerges ADC candidate and president of Nigeria.
