A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Dino Melaye, has taken President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to task, demanding explanation for the sack of the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, at a time of covert controversy over tentative missing of N34 trillion from the Federation Account.

Melaye stated that the World Bank does not lie in the revelation that $28 billion is missing.

According to Melaye, "Mr. President, when Ministers are sacked in civilised climes, government must explain why they are sacked.

"Was the Minister of Finance removed because he could not cover up the stolen 28 billion dollars(34 trillion naira) diverted from our revenue?

"World Bank no dey lie." SDM.
