Saraki Greets Muslims At Ramadan

Former President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday, greeted Muslims in Nigeria and across the world as Ramadan begins.

Saraki emphasized that beyond abstaining from food and drink, "this is a time to look out for one another a little more deliberately, to be patient in our words, fair in our dealings, and dependable in every responsibility entrusted to us."

The former Senate President was of the view that "when we embody these values, we realize that in a season like this, even the smallest acts of kindness often mean more than we can imagine."

Saraki, in a goodwill message wrote:

"As we welcome the holy month of Ramadan, I extend warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and around the world.

"The Holy Prophet (SAW) reminded us that “the most beloved of people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”

"So beyond abstaining from food and drink, this is a time to look out for one another a little more deliberately, to be patient in our words, fair in our dealings, and dependable in every responsibility entrusted to us.

"When we embody these values, we realize that in a season like this, even the smallest acts of kindness often mean more than we can imagine.

"May Allah (SWT) accept our fasting and prayers, ease the difficulties many families are facing, comfort those in mourning, grant healing to the sick, and guide our leaders to act with wisdom and integrity.

"Ramadan Mubarak!"
